Mohawk Dam Safety Modification

The Mohawk Dam Safety Modification project included construction measures and modifications to the downstream seepage interception and control system to address system underperformance and potential internal erosion of the dam’s foundation soils by backward erosion piping. DRS installed 10 new relief wells with individualized housing, conveyance piping, and outfall structures. Installed new seepage collection system components including manholes, piping, connections, and outfall structures. Modification and demolition of existing seepage collection system including manholes, piping, and connections. Earthwork and slope protection construction.
